We asked some of our experienced MSMC Families what they brought (or wish they brought) to make Move In Day smoother. With Opening Day just a few days away, we thought we’d share them with you to make your lives a little easier. Here’s what they recommended!
To Make Packing Easier
- Bins galore. Plus, you can leave them with your student for extra storage!
- Even better, suitcases can also be left to remind your students to come home and visit every once in a while!
- Hang all of your student’s clothes on hangers prior to move in. Wrap them in a garbage bag and simply hang up when you arrive!

Steven Juergensen, Class of 2017 – “Conversation starters!! Posters of your favorite bands and photos of your friends and yourself doing something you love.” Wall art can not only help to liven up the space, but can also be a great way to start a conversation with someone new.
